Apple's bold decision to remove the headphone jack on iPhone 7 is a controversial move made by the Cupertino company. Moreover, the headphone jack is still widely use on every phone in this godforsaken universe. Apple said that It is the time of wireless, and they're bragging on how brave they are to start the trend. But Apple's move is likely more about business rather than creating an evolution.
According to JerryRigEverything on his youtube channel, here are the reasons why Apple remove the jack.
1. Forces every accessories manufacturer to use Lightning ports.

Also, compare to other proprietary ports like HDMI, Apple's lightning certificate is a whole lot more expensive. That's also explain the reason why Apple-related accessories are not cheap.
2. Waterproofing Jack Port is Expensive

3. Apple's dedication to Wireless Future is nonsense
One of the reasons why Apple remove the Jack port is that they're dedicating on to "Wireless Future". But if that is the case, then why they don't put the wireless charging feature that has been on so many smartphones over the last few years? According to Jerry, this is simply because they cannot make any money from wireless charging and instead, has to pay for royalty of using wireless charging techs.
